Newbury Park 2-1, Rio Mesa 0-0--Chrissy Zappia (3-0) and Katie Stokx (3-1) pitched one-hitters and the Panthers (6-1) swept a nonleague doubleheader at Rio Mesa.
Chanel Tripp of Rio Mesa threw a no-hitter and struck out nine in the first game, but suffered her third loss in four decisions.
Newbury Park scored two runs in the fifth on a passed ball and a wild pitch.
In the second game, Dani Janda scored on a squeeze by Robyn Wike in the third.
Camarillo 11, Channel Islands 2--Sarah Door pitched a one-hitter with eight strikeouts, and Cambria Miranda and Melanie Douglas each had two hits and scored two runs for the Scorpions (4-2-1) in a Pacific View League opener at Camarillo.
Hueneme 10, Oxnard 1--Erica Mijares had four hits, drove in three runs and scored three for the Vikings (4-1, 1-0) in a Pacific View League opener at Hueneme.
Verdugo Hills 9, Reseda 0--Danielle Burch pitched a one-hitter and struck out 15 for the Dons (4-0) in a nonleague game at Verdugo Hills.
Laura Hovestreydt went four for four with a double and Crystal Dingman had three hits and three RBIs.
COLLEGE BASEBALL
Oxnard 5, Moorpark 4--Jarod Krehbiel scored on a balk with two out in the ninth to lift the Condors in a Western State Conference Northern Division game at Moorpark.
Moorpark (3-11, 3-2) tied the score with two runs in the eighth.
Oxnard (11-7, 5-1) took a 4-2 lead in the sixth on Paul McAnulty’s three-run double.
COLLEGE SOFTBALL
Canyons 7, Glendale 0--Stephanie Blaire (6-4) struck out five in a one-hitter and Lacy Bregger had three hits and three RBIs for the Cougars (8-5, 4-2) in a WSC Southern Division victory at Canyons.
BOYS’ GOLF
Nordhoff 382, Hart 383--Brian Edick shot a one-under par 71 for Hart (3-5), but the Rangers depth earned a nonleague victory at Soule Park Golf Course.
Devlin Thomas and Andrew Bonsignori each shot 75 for Nordhoff (3-2).
BOYS’ TENNIS
Grant 4, Chatsworth 3--Illan Aristarhov beat Robert Markota, 6-2, 6-1, to snap a 3-3 tie and propel the Lancers to a nonleague victory at Grant.
BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL
Village Christian def. Brentwood, 15-2, 15-11, 15-7--Ken Benesch had 15 kills in 27 attempts with four errors for a .407 hitting percentage in a nonleague match for host Village Christian.
Jeremy Walls had 12 kills for the Crusaders, and Matt Levoe had 50 assists and nine digs.
Marina def. Harvard-Westlake, 15-3, 15-11, 15-10--Garrett Leahey had 12 kills for the Wolverines (1-4) in a nonleague loss at Harvard-Westlake.
