Tet Parade in Little Saigon
SATURDAY: Grand Marshal Van Thai Tran, Garden Grove’s first Vietnamese American city councilman, will lead a parade Saturday through Little Saigon. Participants will include members of the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps Military Color Guard, the Nicholsons Pipes & Drums band, the Westminster City Council, state and federal officials, the Westminster High School marching band and traditional dragon dancers.
The parade begins at 10 a.m. at Bolsa Avenue and Magnolia Street and proceeds east on Bolsa, ending at Bushard Street and Bishop Place. Information: (714) 892-7117.
Tet Festival in Garden Grove Park
FRIDAY: The festival begins Friday at 4 p.m. with more than 100 food and game booths.
SATURDAY: An opening ceremony will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Musical entertainment and martial arts exhibitions begin at 4 p.m.
SUNDAY: On Sunday the festival opens at 10 a.m. and features traditional dances at 11 a.m. and noon, a beauty pageant at 4 p.m. and live music at 6.
