In other South Coast League games:
San Clemente 78, Dana Hills 67 (OT)--Tim Burnette scored eight of his 12 points in overtime to lead host San Clemente (12-4, 1-2). Curtis Bush scored 20 points for San Clemente.
Trabuco Hills 70, Mission Viejo 66--Aaron Tudor scored a career-high 30 points, making eight of nine field-goal attempts and 11 of 11 free throws, to lead visiting Trabuco Hills (12-6, 2-1). Travis Niessen scored 27 points for Mission Viejo (12-7, 1-2).
In the Golden West League:
No. 5 Ocean View 74, Saddleback 42--Senior Torin Beeler had 20 points, 20 rebounds, 10 steals, eight assists and two blocked shots for the Seahawks (16-3, 4-0). Ismael Isais scored 16 points for Saddleback (12-5, 1-2).
In the Orange League:
Brea Olinda 82, Savanna 77 (OT)--Savanna’s Turnel Woods hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to send the game into overtime, but Brea’s Evan Moore scored on a pass from brother Ryan with 1:30 remaining in overtime to put the Wildcats up for good.
Woods scored 33 points for the Rebels (8-11, 2-1). Ryan Moore led Brea (13-6, 3-0) with 29.
Magnolia 51, Valencia 42--Visiting Magnolia (10-9, 2-1) broke open a tight game by outscoring the Tigers, 14-4, in the quarter. Junior Geoffrey Clayton had 15 points for Magnolia, becoming the school’s all-time leading scorer with 1,346 career points.
In the Pacific Coast League:
Corona del Mar 44, Estancia 42--Idean Shahangian’s 12-foot jump shot with six seconds remaining gave host Corona del Mar (9-11, 3-0) the win.
In the Sea View League:
No. 7 Woodbridge 68, No. 8 Newport Harbor 55--Danny Lambert scored 10 of his 20 points in the third quarter as the Warriors (14-4, 2-0) extended a two-point lead into a 13-point advantage. Patrick Haddan had 13 points and 10 assists. Aaron Yarnal scored 21 points for Newport Harbor (16-4, 2-1).
In the Sunset League:
Los Alamitos 50, Fountain Valley 46 (OT)--Eddie Courtemarche made a lay-up to tie the score for Los Alamitos (10-7, 3-0) with 18 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. Los Alamitos outscored the Barons, 6-2, in the overtime period.
In Orange League girls’ basketball:
No. 3 Brea Olinda 60, Magnolia 33--Jackie Lord had 16 points and nine assists and freshman Carrie Noyes had 14 points and 15 rebounds for Brea (12-4, 3-0).
