Pop Music
Is “veteran wunderkind” an oxymoron? Not when you’re blues guitarist-singer Jonny Lang. The kid from North Dakota hasn’t turned 21 yet, but he’s been headlining worldwide as well as sharing bills with such heavyweights as the Rolling Stones, B.B. King and Aerosmith.
* Jonny Lang, House of Blues, 1530 S. Disneyland Drive, Anaheim. 8 p.m. $37.50 (714) 778-2583.

Dance
Formed in 1981 by Linda Sohl-Donnell, Rhapsody in Taps could almost call Orange County its home. Sohl-Donnell had been teaching dance (tap and other styles) at Orange Coast College, where the troupe--seven dancers and five musicians--regularly presents spring concerts. Home base, however, is Los Angeles, where the company appears annually at the Japan America Theater. Hallmarks of the company’s concerts have always been live music and segments of tap improvisation.
* Rhapsody in Taps, Robert B. Moore Theatre, Orange Coast College, 2701 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa. 8 p.m. $24 in advance; $27 at the door, if available. (714) 432-5880.
