Police Fire at Rioters, Killing 1, Injuring Several

Kenyan police used live ammunition to fire at rioters during a fourth day of running battles in the coastal city of Mombasa, killing one man and injuring several other people, officials and witnesses said.
Arriving tourists had to be escorted through the stone-throwing mobs by armed police as they made their way to their hotels. Rioters were protesting an order to demolish stalls and kiosks in an effort to clean up the town.
