A 23-year-old Anaheim man killed when his car was hit by a freight train in Placentia on Wednesday night apparently had just been involved in a hit-and-run accident in Fullerton, police said Thursday.
Alejandro Oscar Tapia was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident on South Placentia Avenue after his Ford was hit by the westbound train about 9:30 p.m., police said.
Fullerton police took a report of a car matching Tapia’s that had been involved in a noninjury hit-and-run at Buckingham Street and an onramp to the eastbound Riverside Freeway just before the train crash.
