Greek Salad Meets French Chili

La Provence Patisserie turns out a dish you’d never connect with southern France--turkey chili. This spicy blend of beans, tomato, onion, hot sauce and ground turkey topped with cheese has just one component that might be linked to southern France--the olive oil in which the turkey is sauteed. To go with it, try the Mediterranean Greek salad, a very fresh combination of romaine, tomatoes, cucumber and Kalamata olives. For takeout, the patisserie obligingly packs the feta cheese and dressing for the salad separately. The mozzarella and cheddar for the chili also come in a separate container. Bread accompanies the order, either sliced baguette, plain sourdough or sourdough topped with herbes de Provence , depending upon what the shop has on hand.
