Incarcerated Molester Is Castrated at His Request

A child molester locked up in Atascadero State Hospital was surgically castrated at his own request, a rare procedure that required the approval of a county judge.
Brian DeVries, a Seattle native who molested nine boys in four states, including California, had the surgery done at an East Bay surgical center Wednesday.
