Fuming Over Gas Prices
My husband and I just returned from a weeklong camping trip to Kings Canyon. We were relieved to find that gasoline prices had dropped significantly. We paid $1.249 per gallon for regular at an Arco station. What a shock when we came back to Long Beach and found the price for regular at our corner Shell was $1.679 per gallon.
Something is wrong here. Can we get our stations to call for the prices that Fresno sets? Aren’t we closer to ports, refineries, etc.? What did we do wrong by living in the L.A. Basin?
Someone, please tell me how we can get a real answer. I called 1-888-GOSHELL and was told there were no representatives available and to call back at a later time. How does the average Joe get to talk with these people? If we all knew that our gas was that much more, couldn’t and shouldn’t we complain and do something?
