Counting Crows’ lead singer Adam Duritz took a musical detour earlier this year to be part of “The I-10 Chronicles,” a multiartist salute to the highway that spans the U.S. from Santa Monica to Jacksonville, Fla. On Saturday, Duritz and the band will venture about 50 miles south of I-10 for their performance at Irvine’s Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre.
