Board members of the Garden Grove Unified School District voted last week to expel a Bolsa Grande High School student from the district after the student allegedly threatened a Jewish teacher in an anti-Semitic e-mail.
The District Discipline Committee recommended last month that the student be expelled for one year. The 11th-grader can reapply for the 2001-02 school year.
District officials also voted last Tuesday to accept nearly $300,000 in federal grants to fund vocational and technical education programs. The money will be used to fund business and industrial technology, home economics and similar classes through 2004.
