Canyons 40, Glendale 14--David Parker completed 11 of 12 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns, and ran for another score for the Cougars in a WSC Interdivisional victory at Canyons.
Parker threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Ontae Chaney, connected with Jason d’Autremont on an 18-yard touchdown pass play and ran 26 yards for a touchdown.
Steve Smith ran for 160 yards in 19 carries and two touchdowns for Canyons (3-0).
D’Autremont caught six passes for 100 yards and Travis Winn completed five of 13 passes for 52 yards and two interceptions.
Michael Holmes returned an interception 50 yards for a score and Steve Carballo caught a 27-yard touchdown pass from Joseph Kroells to give Glendale (1-2) a 14-0 lead in the first quarter.
Canyons answered with a one-yard touchdown run by John Harrison and a six-yard score by Smith to tie the score, 14-14.
Kroells completed nine of 17 passes for 73 yards.
