Highland 20, Victor Valley 0--The Bulldogs held Victor Valley to 66 yards and finally got their offense started at Highland.
Highland (1-2)got its first points of the season when Demar Caballero scored on a 10-yard run in the first quarter. Caballero added an eight-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and finished with 41 yards in five carries.
Josh Mejia led the Bulldogs with 80 yards in 13 carries.
Matt Yriarte, who started in place of suspended quarterback Andrew Vasquez of Highland, completed eight of 13 passes for 66 yards, including an eight-yard touchdown to Greg Root in the first quarter. Vasquez was suspended for disciplinary reasons.
Root, a linebacker, led Highland with seven tackles.
