Bakersfield Centennial 16, Highland 0--Daren Hildebrand rushed for 156 yards and two touchdowns in 22 carries for Centennial at Highland.
Highland (0-2), which lost to Valencia, 24-0, last week, was held to two yards rushing.
Quarterback Matt Yriarte of Highland completed 15 of 24 passes for 109 yards with an interception. He was sacked three times and recovered his own fumble in the end zone for a safety.
Hildebrand had scoring runs of 37 yards in the second quarter and 10 yards in the third quarter.
Highland’s only scoring opportunity in the second quarter failed when Jose Duarte’s 51-yard field-goal attempt was short.
