Girl Scout Troop Sets Blood Drive at School

THOUSAND OAKS — Girl Scout Troop 355 and the American Red Cross will sponsor a blood drive from 2 to 8 p.m. today in the multipurpose room of University Elementary School at 2804 Atlas Ave.
The event is one of the troop’s service projects. With blood banks in short supply, the Girl Scout troop and the Red Cross urge people to participate, said Rhonda Evensen, an event spokeswoman.
