Nunez Helps Cypress Keep Streak Alive

Sophomore forward Ali Nunez scored four goals as Cypress extended its unbeaten streak to 71 with a 6-0 victory over Santiago Canyon in an Orange Empire Conference match played Tuesday in Cypress.
Nunez has 23 goals and could threaten the school record of 39 she set last season.
The Chargers (18-0, 8-0) took a 2-0 lead into halftime before blowing the game open in the second half.
Santiago Canyon is (3-8-1, 2-6).
In other Orange Empire Conference women’s soccer games:
Orange Coast 4, Fullerton 1--Hornet midfielder Nicole Rohm kicked the ball into her own goal in the 73rd minute, giving host Orange Coast (10-6-1, 5-3) the game-winning goal.
In Orange Empire Conference men’s soccer:
Cypress 4, Santiago Canyon 3--Adriano Lima had a goal and two assists and Donovan Dore scored the winning goal at the 66-minute mark for the visiting Chargers (6-7-2, 3-5-0). Justin Yankouskas, Ryan Linehan and Ryan Sullivan scored for Santiago Canyon (3-10-1, 2-5-1).
Orange Coast 2, Fullerton 1--Josh Miller and Sergio Baez scored first-half goals for Orange Coast (9-3-1, 5-2-1).
