For the second consecutive week, Antelope Valley (5-1) stopped an All-Southern Section running back.
The Antelopes limited Tony Ortiz of Lancaster, the Golden League back of the year last season, to 29 yards in 17 carries Friday in a 26-10 victory.
Two weeks ago, Antelope Valley held Clark Flournoy of Serrano to 89 yards in 31 carries.
