3 Men Arrested in Omagh Bomb Case

Three men were arrested in connection with the worst terrorist strike in Northern Ireland’s history, a car bombing that killed 29 people in the town of Omagh. Police said the men, whose names were not released, were being interrogated as part of an ongoing investigation into the 1998 bombing apparently aimed at undermining the province’s peace agreement. The arrests came a week after the British Broadcasting Corp. named four men it said were involved in the attack.
