Impressionist, Modern Paintings on Display

More than $100 million worth of Impressionist and Modern art and French furniture will go on public view at Christie’s in Beverly Hills today from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
All the exhibited works--including Picasso’s Blue Period painting “Woman With Crossed Arms,” once owned by writer and art patron Gertrude Stein--will be offered for sale in New York in November. The Beverly Hills showroom is located at 360 N. Camden Drive. Information: (310) 385-2660.
