October is fire prevention month in Fountain Valley, and as part of the observation, the Fire Department will hold a badge ceremony and citizen recognition ceremony at 6 p.m. Oct. 10. The ceremony will take place at Fire Station No. 1, 17737 Bushard St., and honor department employees as well as several residents.
