Corona del Mar’s Brian Morton teamed with Manhattan Beach’s K.C. Corkery to win the boys’ Southern California junior doubles title at Los Caballeros Sports Village in Fountain Valley.
Morton and Corkery won the 18s title, defeating Palos Verdes’ Rylan Rizza and Jeff Kazarian, 5-7, 6-2, 7-6.
It is the second sectional doubles victory for Morton, who partnered with Rizza to win the title in June. Morton, who is ranked No. 1 in Southern California 18s in doubles, has committed to play for UC Irvine in the fall.
