The city has decided to team up with Habitat for Humanity of Orange County to improve housing conditions for low-income families in the city.
The idea is part of the city’s Housing and Community Development Act Grant Program, which provides money to residents who plan to revitalize their neighborhoods.
Habitat volunteers will assist qualifying low-income homeowners with essential exterior repair and maintenance projects.
The services offered to homeowners will include roof repair and replacement, exterior painting and widow repair, among others. Families interested in the program can call the Development Services Department at (714) 993-8124.
