The Westminster School District Board of Trustees on Thursday will discuss policies that would conform to new state laws regarding student acceleration and retention. Previous policy enabled parents to authorize holding back or advancing students. School districts would have sole authority under new state laws. The district includes 10,000 kindergarten through eighth-grade children. The public meeting begins at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
