Dad’s Number Is Up After Tot Dials 911

TORONTO — A Canadian toddler sent her fugitive father back to prison after accidentally dialing the emergency 911 service on her parents’ telephone, police said Friday.
The 1-year-old Winnipeg girl was playing with the telephone when she inadvertently dialed the three numbers that quickly brought emergency services and the police to her parents’ front door earlier this week.
A background check of the home quickly revealed to police that the child’s 25-year-old father was being sought for parole violation.
“Any time we’re dealing with this type of a situation, we have to make sure everything is on the up and up, so we check everyone who is at the residence,” said Constable Bob Johnson of the Winnipeg police.
