Alemany Wrestlers Pin a Defeat on Fillmore

Alemany High won the first six weight classes and defeated Fillmore, 50-23, in a Frontier League wrestling dual meet on Wednesday at Fillmore.
Paul Gonzalez got the Indians (16-10, 2-0 in league meets) started by pinning Heather Steffey of Fillmore at 103 pounds in 3:45.
Ariel Gradvohl (20-3) of Alemany pinned Lalo Sumaran in 3:28.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Ventura 81, Moorpark 37--Jackie Rhetta had 19 points and six steals, and Renae Hoffman had 16 points, seven assists and five steals for the the Pirates (23-0, 3-0) in a Western State Conference Northern Division game at Moorpark.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
Glendale 92, Citrus 64--Mark Caguioa had 19 points, seven rebounds and six assists for the Vaqueros in a WSC Southern Division victory at Citrus.
Sean Stroud had 18 points and four assists, and Clayton Powdrill had 14 points and 10 assists for Ventura (16-4, 2-0).
BOYS’ SOCCER
St. Francis 1, Harvard-Westlake 0--Sean Degroot scored in the 55th minute and the Knights, ranked No. 1 in the region by The Times, won a Mission League game at Harvard-Westlake.
Raul Calderon recorded his 10th shutout and St. Francis (13-2-3, 3-0) limited the Wolverines (6-7-3, 1-3) to two shots.
Chaminade 1, Notre Dame 0--Matt Ward stole the ball and passed to Ori Adrabi for the only score in a Mission League game at Chaminade (10-3, 3-0).
Simi Valley 2, Agoura 1--Howard Reyes scored in the 58th minute to give the Pioneers a Marmonte League victory at Agoura.
Mark Zerhusen gave Simi Valley (10-5, 3-1) a 1-0 lead in the 39th minute on a penalty kick.
Lancaster 3, Palmdale 2--Leo Arabia had two goals and an assist for the Eagles (7-4-3, 2-0) in a Golden League game at Palmdale.
