Analyst Action: New Stock Ratings

Equity ratings issued Tuesday on Wall Street include several for Southern California companies:
* Orange-based Bergen Brunswig Corp. (ticker symbol: BBC; close and change: $10.19, up 63 cents) was raised to near-term “buy” from near-term “neutral” by Merrill Lynch & Co. The long-term rating remained “accumulate.”
* Aliso Viejo-based Fluor Corp. (FLR; $47.50, down 25 cents) was downgraded to “outperform” from “buy” by Salomon Smith Barney.
* Burbank-based Walt Disney Co. (DIS; $36.25, up 38 cents) was rated “accumulate” in new coverage by A.G. Edwards & Sons Inc., with a $42 target.
* Thousand Oaks-based WellPoint Health Networks (WLP; $73.50, down $2.13) was downgraded to “market outperform” from “trading buy” by Goldman, Sachs & Co.
