Universal Records Gets New President

Seagram’s Universal Music Group has named Republic Records co-founder Monte Lipman president of its Universal Records label. The move follows Universal’s purchase of Republic, home to such hit pop acts Chumbawamba, Godsmack and rapper Lil’ Troy.
