Lewis delivered in the biggest game of the season for Brea, scoring a team-high 19 points in a 67-54 victory over second-
seeded Temecula
Chaparral in the quarterfinals of the Division II-AA playoffs. He scored 19 points and made three consecutive third-quarter three-pointers to break open a second-round win over Newport Harbor. “He’s been our most consistent player,” Brea Coach Bob Terry said.

Qualified for the state wrestling meet, although he finished last weekend’s Masters tournament with a broken arm.

Scored six goals in playoff wins over Orange Lutheran and Santa Ynez to propel the Eagles to the Division IV semifinals.
Dominique Valencia
Pacifica, Basketball
Valencia helped the Mariners continue the best season in school history, scoring 20 points in a 63-55 victory
over Lakewood Artesia in the Division
II-A semifinals. Valencia had 11 steals last week in two victories and has led the Mariners in scoring in the postseason, taking some pressure off point guard Diana Barreras. “Dominique made the clutch shots down the stretch in the semifinals,” Pacifica Coach Garth Anderson said.

Scored six goals in playoff victories over Rosary and Santa Monica to help Sea Kings reach Division IV final.

Esperanza, Soccer
Scored two goals in overtime to help Esperanza defeat Chino Hills Ayala, 4-1, and advance to the Division I semifinals.
