Beckman Coulter Signs Hematology Service Contract

Beckman Coulter Inc., a Fullerton medical instruments maker, said Wednesday that the company has signed a contract for its hematology systems with an Illinois purchasing organization that represents 289 acute care facilities throughout North America.
The contract with Consorta in Rolling Meadows, Ill., is expected to bring in about $20 million in hematology business to Beckman over the next three years, with two one-year renewal options.
The contract is effective March 1.
