Nordhoff girls’ Coach Ted Cotti is in teaching mode. Two of the top Ranger players, center Alison Bennett and point guard Alexis Kenyon, are freshmen.
“We’re teachers again this season,” Cotti said. “It’s important that everything stays the same in the system.”
For that reason, Cotti elected not to enter Nordhoff (4-2) in the prestigious Santa Barbara tournament, opting instead for smaller venues.
Nordhoff lost in the consolation final of the Fillmore tournament and in the third-place game of its own tournament.
“I’m pleased,” Cotti said. “We’re learning to play together.”
