Adamczyk Turns In Peachy Performance

Sometimes you don’t know what you’ve got until its gone.
Tyler Adamczyk of Westlake High did not allow a hit until Eric Peach doubled with one out in the seventh inning of a 3-0 victory over Simi Valley on Wednesday at Westlake.
Adamczyk wasn’t flustered, striking out the last two batters.
No wonder.
“I didn’t know I had a no-hitter going until I came in the dugout after the game,” he said.
Peach drove a slider high onto the dirt hill behind right field. Cory Taillon gave chase like a mountain goat, vainly climbing the hill as the ball fell a few feet behind him.
The Warriors (13-0, 6-0 in Marmonte League play), ranked No. 1 in the region by The Times, scored one run in the first and added two in the sixth. Michael Nickeas drove in a run with a single.
Jered Weaver of Simi Valley (8-5, 3-3) allowed five hits, including a double and single by Jon Shepard, who is batting .600.
