I am saddened to read of the untimely passing of writer Margo Kaufman (April 3). Reading her work was like sitting down for a chat with a girlfriend, one who was smart and funny. I feel as if I’ve been a guest in her home, laughed with her family, shared her ups and downs. We had similar taste in mystery writers, and I admit to using her reviews as a buying guide. Hers is a voice that will be sorely missed, and I send my sincerest condolences to her family.
