El Dorado 1, Cypress 0--Kristen Karanzias pitched a two-hitter, striking out six, and Kim Sanders tripled to score Adina Taul in the bottom of the seventh inning for the Golden Hawks (6-5-1, 2-0).
In the Century League:
No. 2 Foothill 6, Villa Park 0--Courtney Fossatti pitched her second no-hitter of the season, striking out 13 to improve her record to 9-0 for Foothill.
In the Freeway League:
Sonora 2, La Habra 1--Jeanine Baca had an RBI ground ball and Nicole Smith scored from third on an error to give host Sonora (14-4, 1-0) its two runs in the second inning.
In the Garden Grove League:
Garden Grove 6, Santiago 5 (8)--Pitcher Jessica Nunez (5-3) hit a home run in the top of the eighth inning to clinch the win for Garden Grove (6-7, 3-1).
In the Olympic League:
No. 10 Orange Lutheran 7, Cerritos Valley Christian 0--Jessica Edwards pitched a two-hitter, striking out seven en route to a shutout for Orange Lutheran at Valley Christian.
In the Orange League:
Brea Olinda 2, Valencia 0--Katy Perkins pitched a three-hitter, striking out six to lead the host Wildcats (4-10, 1-1). Catcher Tiala Tagaloa hit an RBI double in the fourth inning for Brea.
In the Sunset League:
No. 3 Los Alamitos 3, Esperanza 2--Phelan Wright had two hits and three RBIs, including a two-run double in the third inning which scored the winning run for visiting Los Alamitos (7-5, 1-0). Teammate Kristin Farber had three hits and two stolen bases for the Griffins.
No. 5 Fountain Valley 2, Huntington Beach 0--Nicole Rambis drove in the winning run in the second inning for host Fountain Valley (10-4, 1-0). Natalie King (10-3) struck out 14 and gave up one hit for the Barons.
No. 6 Marina 1, Edison 0--Steffany Stenglein pitched a one-hitter, striking out 14 for host Marina.
