The City Council this week voted unanimously to approve an agreement between the city and the Mission Viejo Nadadores swim team for the use of the Lower Marguerite Aquatics Complex.
The agreement calls for the Nadadores and the city to more evenly share the costs of operating and maintaining the swimming and diving complex.
The city will still be responsible for the basic structure, all landscaping maintenance and all major capital improvements. The Nadadores will begin assuming financial responsibility for janitorial services at the complex this July. By July of 2005 the Nadadores Foundation will be responsible for 100% of the basic operations and routine maintenance costs.
The agreement will run through June 2014.
