Stanton’s second Summerfest closed out the summer last Saturday with food, games, entertainment and even an impromptu performance by dancers from El Buen Femdrador Ballet Folklorico.
“We served 2,900 hot dogs, 500 ice-cream cones, 750 bags of popcorn, 750 cotton candy sticks and I don’t know how much soda and water, but it was a lot,” said Tom Bilek from Community Services, the city department that organized the event. “The only disappointment was that the sun never came out.”
