COMPANY TOWN : MORE ON COMPANY TOWN : Chief of Merged Venture Named

Time Warner Inc. and Sony Corp., which plan to combine their jointly held Columbia House music club with online music and video retailer CDNow Inc., named Scott Flanders to lead the new company.
Flanders, 42, would represent the Columbia House board in overseeing the music club’s operations and preparing it for the merger. After the companies complete the transaction, he would become chairman and chief executive of the new company.
