7 TONIGHT VALENCIA HIGH
This could be a league-title game for the visiting Pioneers. Western already has tied preseason favorite Brea Olinda, and has Anaheim and Savanna--teams Valencia defeated by the combined score of 70-14--remaining on its schedule. But Western’s high-powered offense, which is averaging more than 41 points, should be tested by Valencia’s defense, which is giving up fewer than 9.5 points. Western’s Jamiah Williamson and Will Ruffin have combined for nearly 1,200 yards rushing and quarterback Mike Hicks has completed 54% of his passes for 984 yards and 14 touchdowns.
