Kilpatrick 52, Pasadena Marshall 0--Senior running back Jermaine Marshall became the first player in the region to gain 2,000 yards Saturday at Marshall.
Marshall, who rushed for 244 yards and five touchdowns in 15 carries, crossed the 2,000-yard mark on a 21-yard gain with 7:26 left in the third quarter. He scored on runs of 50, 65, four, 44 and seven yards.
Kilpatrick (5-2, 2-0) scored touchdowns on seven of nine possessions, none of which lasted longer than six plays.
Kilpatrick’s defense limited the Eagles (0-7, 0-2) to 56 yards.
Mustang quarterback Secel Montgomery threw only one pass, completing it to Rudolph Moore for a 23-yard touchdown with 3:54 to play in the second quarter. The score capped a five-play, 72-yard drive and gave the Mustangs a 40-0 lead.
