Police are searching for the killer of a man who died over the weekend after a shooting in Pacoima.
“It appears to be a gang-related homicide,” said Det. Charles Barnes of LAPD’s Foothill Division.
The 24-year-old man was shot some time before 8 p.m. Saturday in a residential area near the intersection of Haddon Avenue and Remington Street, Barnes said.
Los Angeles Police Department officials are withholding the victim’s name until relatives have been notified, Barnes said.
By the time the police and the ambulance arrived at the scene, the victim had been taken--possibly by his friends--to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, where he was pronounced dead, according to police and coroners.
Police are asking anyone with more information about this crime to call Det. Frank Bishop of Foothill Homicide at (818) 834-3115.
