Candidates in Iowa

Al Gore and Bill Bradley meet in Iowa and all Mark Barabak can tell us is that Gore was negative and Bradley said he won’t be (“Gore Asks Bradley to Step Up to Debate Plate,” Oct. 10). How are the candidates alike and how are they different? That is what voters want to know and what the candidates want us to know. Yet, we voters are stymied in making intelligent political choices by articles like this one, which avoids reporting meaningful substance.
Please, inform us about the issues. Avoid reporting--and thus encouraging--personal attacks that surely are not the main issue.
