Marauder Rally Falls Short, 20-17

Chad York, playing for the first time at quarterback, led Antelope Valley College to two second-half touchdowns but the Marauders fell to Southwestern, 20-17, in a Foothill Conference football game Saturday night in Chula Vista.
York, normally a wide receiver, had 53 yards and one touchdown in 11 carries. He passed for 55 yards.
The Marauders pulled within 20-10 on York’s one-yard run with 2:55 to play in the third quarter, capping a nine-play, 66-yard drive.
DaJon Wright scored on a two-yard run late in the fourth quarter, culminating an 11-play, 70-yard drive.
Demareo Robinson sparked the drive with a 23-yard run to the Southwestern (5-1, 3-1) five.
Jason Anderson rushed for 63 yards in 11 carries for Antelope Valley.
Safety Bobby Antee had 19 tackles for Antelope Valley.
James Jones had 244 yards rushing for Southwestern.
