Santa Ana’s King, Laeli Earn Player of the Year Recognition

Santa Ana running back Camron King, Palomar quarterback Greg Cicero, Santa Ana defensive lineman Elia Laeli and Palomar defensive back Garrett Pavelko were selected players of the year by Mission Conference Central Division coaches.
King, from Savanna High, rushed for 1,418 yards and Cicero (Servite High) threw for 2,505 yards and 32 touchdowns.
The coaches at Palomar and Santa Ana, which tied for the division title, were selected staffs of the year.
Orange Coast quarterback Jared Flint, wide receivers David Castleton and Ray Ohrel and kick returner James Dawkins made the first team in the Northern Division.
Cerritos running back Brian McDonald (Buena Park High), offensive lineman Neal Hannifin (Kennedy High) and linebacker Jack Tucker (Kennedy High) also made the first team.
