In Division III:

Corona del Mar 3, San Diego University 0--Dimitra Havriluk had 16 kills and Jamie Brownell 14 to lead Corona del Mar, 15-13, 15-6, 15-3. Corona del Mar was down, 6-0, in the second set, but scored 15 straight points to take a two sets to none lead. The Sea Kings play North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake in their next match.

In Division IV:

Calvary Chapel 3, Chowchilla 0--Christy Kimmel had 10 kills and Jessie Wright had 20 assists for third-seeded Calvary Chapel in a 15-1, 15-3, 15-12 win. The Eagles (17-2), who lost in the state regional final last year, play Laguna Beach--15-3, 15-10, 15-11 winners over La Jolla The Bishops--in the second round Saturday.

In Division V:

St. Margaret’s 3, Reedley Immanual 0--Allison Bendush had 20 kills for St. Margaret’s (22-1), which won, 15-9, 15-8, 15-0. Setter Marissa Balak had 33 assists for the Tartans. St. Margaret’s will face the winner of San Diego Francis Parker/Hemet Baptist Christian in the regional semifinals Saturday.
