Santa Ana wind gusts briefly peaked at 127 mph Monday in rugged Fremont Canyon. There were scattered reporters of upended garbage cans, downed tree limbs and a rash of business alarms triggered in Orange County, but no signs of serious damage. Winds died down late Monday but were expected to kick up again over the next few days, with gusts between 30-45 mph, forecasters said.
