IRIS Reports Net Loss of $5.9 Million for 3rd Quarter

IRIS, Chatsworth, reported a net loss of $5.9 million for the third quarter ended Sept. 30 compared with net income of $94,000 for the same period last year. Revenues increased slightly to $7.6 million from $7.1 million. The company attributed the loss to $8.3 million in unusual charges in 1999.
IRIS designs, manufactures and markets imaging systems based on its patented technologies for use in hospitals, clinical and genetics laboratories.
