Newly Hired Wooley Quits at Alemany

David Wooley, hired to replace Darryl McDonald as boys’ basketball coach at Alemany High last month, has resigned after only one official day of practice.
Christian Dunbar, 23, a former player at Chatsworth High and Cal Lutheran, took over the team on Monday.
Wooley said he became frustrated with the lack of a gym and the bureaucratic hurdles installed since the firing of McDonald, who was forced out after it was discovered he was a registered sex offender.
Wooley, a former assistant at L.A. City College, had been directing the team through conditioning drills since accepting the position Oct. 1.
