Gay Student Club

* Why start a gay/straight club at El Modena High? The proposed advisor stated, “There needs to be a safe haven for all students” (Nov. 10). Maybe she is unaware that Gov. Davis just signed a bill that protects homosexuals on campuses from harassment of any kind. Therefore, the need for such a club will diminish. This is not the time to create more tension and division. Give the new law time to have an impact.
