The Southern Section Division I championship football game will have a familiar look if the playoff bracket announced Sunday plays to form.
Long Beach Poly is the top-seeded team and Santa Ana Mater Dei is No. 2.
The schools met in the last two title games with Long Beach Poly stopping Mater Dei’s 27-game winning streak in 1997 and the Monarchs returning the favor last season.
Long Beach Poly (10-0) the Moore League champion, opens at home against Fountain Valley (6-4). Mater Dei, the Serra League champion, plays host to Redlands (6-4).
Third-seeded Rialto Eisenhower (9-1), the Citrus Belt League champion, plays host to Huntington Beach Marina (5-4-1) and fourth-seeded Los Alamitos (9-1), the Sunset League champion, plays host to Lakewood (5-5).
