The City Council recently passed an ordinance regulating overnight parking of vehicles and recreational trailers in city parks.
A recent increase in the parking of such vehicles when the parks have been closed was noticed by staff members from the Recreation, Parks and Community Services Department.
Steve Hunt, the department’s director, said the ordinance will enforce removal of the vehicles when the parks are closed. Signs also will be posted at the entrances.
