A storm and cold front moving in from the Pacific Northwest could bring showers to Ventura County early today, said National Weather Service officials.
Officials predict a 40% chance of light showers this morning, with clouds decreasing by the afternoon.
Expect a high of 69 degrees in Ojai and Thousand Oaks, 64 in Oxnard and 62 in Ventura. Overnight lows should be in the low 50s.
South coast beaches will see 1- to 3-foot swells out of the west; Ventura area beaches will see 2- to 4-foot swells. Sets of 5 feet should hit western-facing beaches.
Fifteen to 20 mph winds should last into the morning. As the day wears on, winds will slow slightly and gradually shift to gusts from the northwest.
